Cyclone. A method of the Neutralization of a hurricane-cyclone.

In order to understand the rules of the neutralization of a cyclone it is necessary to analyze the way it (a cyclone) is formed.

To begin with one should notice that cyclones arise in the regions where in the troposphere there occurs a great temperature gradient, and little height differences connected with a tendency to colliding vertical currents that cause inversions of air density and temperature.

In these conditions it often happens that a high density air-layer can be found over a low density layer. This is a transitory condition when heavier air can easily get into thinner air. Rapidly falling air flow takes shape of a cone turned upside down. This can be explained by phenomenons described by Bernoulli's rule.

If a falling air flow touches the edge of a horizontal current, it will result in a rotational motion of the cone.

Then there appears a centrifugal force which throws air masses outside the cone. Inside the cone there arises a sphere of low density air that sucks in the next masses of air on top.

From that moment the process is carried on automatically, like after pulling the filler plug out of the bath.

This process can last long, till the cyclone comes across a mountain range, or an atmospheric phenomenon destroying its well-ordered structure.

The analysis of the described phenomenon proves that the basic factor maintaining the dynamics of the cyclone is a continuous inflow of cold air from the upper layers of the troposphere.

The air which gets into the cyclone's funnel makes this drive of the cyclone.

The neutralization of the cyclone lies in cutting it off from the source of drive and destroying its structure at the same time.

This can be done in many ways.

Taking into consideration the present state of technology it seems that the most effective way is supplying its interior with a great amount of thermal energy.

The amount of this energy should be big enough to cause a change of the direction of a moving air mass.

Strictly speaking it must produce the upward current in the funnel. This will cause the narrowing of the inside diameter in the lower part of the funnel, combined with a simultaneous upward sucking of air masses surrounding the funnel outside but not being in a rotary motion. Getting big air masses into the lower part of the funnel will cause the dissipation of the energy which is in the whirling coat of the funnel. Stopping the rotary motion will allow a further inflow of air masses into the funnel from below and its gradual movement upwards which should result in cutting off the inflow of cold masses from top. The analysis of this process allows to table a motion that supplying the heat has to be done in a short time so that the energy doesn`t dissipate into the space outside the funnel. Further considerations lead to the conclusion that the shorter time, the less energy is necessary to get the results one expects. Consequently, the most efficient method seems to be pouring into the funnel (from top) a sufficient amount of combustible material and causing its ignition before it reaches the funnel's bottom.

Unfortunately it is technically difficult and it is dangerous for people doing the experiment. One should take into consideration the fact that some amount of the fuel will not be burnt because it will not get mixed with the air sufficiently. This could cause serious damage to ecology.

There is, however, another possibility, much safer, giving a chance of getting a good result.

One should notice that cyclones, as a rule, arise over warm oceans. It allows using a specially adapted vessel. This vessel should be equipped with a fuel tank with a capacity of several hundred tons. It should also have a tall mast on the top of which there should be put a burner that can burn great amounts of fuel in a short time. By getting into the interior of the funnel by this vessel and igniting the burner it is possible to obtain the temperature which will cause inactivating of the cyclone.

The above-mentioned action is quite easy to perform in the phase just after the rise of the cyclone when its size is not big yet. Also its energy is not so great as in a well-formed cyclone. That's why a quick action taken soon after the cyclone is formed can lead to its liquidation, and at the same time making use of relatively small financial means.
